Underwater Games For Pool Parties

By Harriet Porter

Having a pool party for kids can get a little boring if there are no fun activities for them to do which is why it is very important to think of games. Now some really great underwater games would be good for these types of parties because these types of games are really fun. So for those hosting a pool party out there, these ideas may be able to help.

Now one of the easiest but also most fun of the underwater activities would be dive for the object under the water. The rules of the game are simple as the first one to retrieve the object that was thrown under the pool will win. The object can be as big as a phone or as small as a coin as long as it can sink down in the deep.

Now another old game that many kids would play would be holding the breath under the water. Basically, the participants would just have to go down underwater and just hold their breaths. Now the one who is able to hold his breath the longest time will be the winner.

One very interesting game that was inspired by the synchronized swimmers would actually be the handstand contest. Now the rules to this game are very simple as the only thing that the participants would have to do would be to hold a handstand while half their bodies are in the pool. Once their legs go down, then it is game over and the last one standing wins the match.

Now probably a lot of people would know about the game that is known as underwater tag. Of course most kids would be familiar with the popular game that is known as tag wherein one person is an it and he has to run after the others in the game. When the it tags another person, then that person becomes the it provided he does not reach the safe zone.

Now the rules for this version would actually be the same as the original tag but this time the participants will be playing in the pool. Instead of running, the participants would have to be swimming and diving under the water in order to get away from the it. Of course there would also be a designated safe zone for the escapees.

The last game on the list would be diving for treasure. Now this game would just involve tossing a few coins or some other objects into the pool for the participants to get. Now each object would have its own designated number of points and the one who has the most number of points after collecting the objects will win.

So for those who are hosting a pool party for kids, these ideas may be able to help out. What would make these games really fun is the fact that they can be quite a challenge to the children there. The more strenuous the activities are, the more tired they can become and actually the more satisfied they can be.
