Removing a wisdom tooth is less important if it is still biting properly, healthy, and able to clean. There are times when you notice that wisdom teeth appear through your gums, but sometimes they are hidden. Once they appear in your gums, then there is a possibility that problems will also occur in the long run which lead you to the extraction procedure.

And because the area is difficult to clean and notice, it will also attract bacteria causing gum diseases and even oral infection. Fresh, frozen, and fruit smoothies are also a good option. You can mix them with yogurt and even ice to make a nutritional and healthy drink. Adding some additives may increase its healthy value. There are some who prefer to eat soft ice cream for the first days after their operations but avoid eating the cones.

Drinks, on the other hand, are acceptable, but prescribed pain relievers may forbid drinking alcohol. Cold water is also prohibited as it only increases the pain. Some foods which seem so soft such as cheese and macaroni can still be hard to eat if they are chewy especially if eaten a week after the procedure.

Overcooking your pasta will make it soft which can alleviate the problem. Avoid acidic foods as they may only cause stinging of your mouth. There are other food options to take during the first few days after the extraction. These include fish, scrambled eggs, pancakes, yogurt, pasta, cottage cheese, apple sauce, and many more.
